Paddy Galore!
hi chaps I have a question, are the new jonsered chainsaws as good as the old ones? I know husky own the brand and I was wondering if they'd demoted jonsered to the realms of the budget brand. cheers for any help, Paddy
Paddy Galore!
I've just had a gander on the bay, I can get a 50cc with 18"bar from the states, brand new for just under 300 including post and import duty, which seems incredibly cheap compared to other top brands
figgy
Have a read on Arbtalk. There are plenty who prefer them to husky
fortune
Years ago they were the rolls royce of saws but in later times they had been pushed back mainly as a bit of a chepo domestic saw and recently I had heard that Johnsred saws were not being sold as a brand anymore. rovercoupe
Had a 2083 and that thing was a monster! still have a 2152 which is a red husky and its a great saw. The more modern plastic ones are ok but parts are hard to find cheap.
Paddy Galore!
cheers guys, they do look a bit plastic fantastic, but then again they all do now hence why i'm asking, i'd rather not cough up an extra 300 for an equivalent stihl if it's no better. Beretta28g
Acle garden machinery start Stihls at a similar price you could probably get a 14" bar quite easily for £300 with a good warranty too
