Dicky das
The time has come to purchase my new foxing rifle in 223 cal got it down to these two but I'm now stuck between the two the tikka is £734 and the cz is £719 any thoughts would be much appreciated thanks das
Luckyshot
For £15 it would be the Tikka all day long, nothing wrong with the 527 but the Tikka is a better rifle IMO.
Glenshooter
Tikka without a doubt. IMHO.
steve_b_wales
I've got both in different calibres, but I would say that the Tikka is the better of the two, but not by much.
hambone
I would go for the CZ. I like the 'set' trigger and the metal magazine, the plastic magazine on the tikka put me off. Having said that they are both fine rifles.
tikkashot
I have the.223 tikka T3 lite and cant fault it ,its my dedicated foxing rifle and its accounted for a fair number .
Paul223
Tikka all day long I don't see it as being a close call !
Bangon
Again tikka all day long. Lots of aftermarket upgrades if you desire. Cracking excellent rifles. I have a. 204 and a.
Glenshooter
The new 557 synthetic will blow Tikka T3 out of the water though How would it do that?
Glenshooter
Because its the first decent 'cheap' plastic stock i have seen both mechanically and ergonomically and is a mile up on the T3 flimsy wimsy That will be interesting then as my T3 plastic stock is absolutely fine for my needs - nothing flimsy about mine While there's nothing wrong with CZ, when I use one I always find them 'agricultural' TBH. Will look forward to seeing this new one.
Glenshooter
I think it's funny how they lie over the floating barrel, who do they think believes them? I don't care about that. My Tikka shoots <1 MOA from day one and I couldn't fault it if I tried.
Dekers
On the important popionts of reliability, accuracy, repeatability I think you will struggle to find any meaningful difference. Both will perform well, so get what you fancy!
Dekers
I think it's funny how they lie over the floating barrel, who do they think believes them? If the stock/metalwork are fitted correctly the odds are the Lite will float, and my Hunter certainly does. However, a bit of pressure on the Lite stock may well change that! Glenshooter
On the important points of reliability, accuracy, repeatability I think you will struggle to find any meaningful difference. Both will perform well, so get what you fancy! Excellent advice. See if you can try both before choosing. Paul223
If you come to sell it in a couple of years which will hold its price better?
