Savhmr
Useful summary here: https://www.gov.uk/buying-carrying-knives Bear in mind that "good reason" may be open to interpretation. Anyone going or coming back from a shoot should be ok providing the knife isn't kept in a car's glovebox or door storage. Mine tend to be kept in a separate zip compartment of the gunslip when going to or returning from a shoot.
Scully
A few of mine. This is a Boker Pry-Mate I've had for a few years but never used, and as a result will be in the 'other sales' section shortly Schrade:
Scully
Cudeman. The vertical marks on the blade are just graphite marks from sharpening a pencil and simply rub off.
Savhmr
Well, it's arrived.... Custom made Fieldcrafter-UK knife with a difference....It's the very last one made by Matt Simmons and was a one-off special, with brass inlays, additional pins, custom scales and hand tooled sheath: Matt is an expert knife maker, and it is sad that no more of these are to be made (except by special customer request...you'll need to contact Matt to enquire though). The knife is very well balanced, quite hefty and razor sharp. Sharp enough to shave with. It should make an excellent all round skinner/field knife. hoggysreels
French Opinel knives are a very fine traditional, low cost blade ... what could be considered an English equivalent; should one have existed, past or present (l'm talking folding pocket knives only) .. just curious! Fawley
I have a Spyderco UKPK for the pocket and an ESEE 6 on order (no serrations, no clip point, just a flat, proper blade) Nothing much but my UKPK has served me well and from reviews I assume the ESEE will too. Sdyderco UKPK is a great little knife. I also have the Sdyderco Squeek which is also a UK carry knife and my everyday carry. The Esse 6 does look like a very practical tool, high carbon steel blade so prone to rust, but it looks like a knife that will last years of abuse.
