Savhmr
Anyone know if there is an aftermarket trigger unit or trigger mod available for this gun? Standard trigger pull is very heavy and although it's a fabulous little rifle, the trigger spoils the package. Thanks in advance.
ZG47
Spec-tech industries do the Ruger centrefire ones and I have a suspicion that they moved onto 77/22 triggers a while back. You could also check Timney to see if they are doing 77/22 triggers now. The Sinclair International website is, however, probably the best way to find out if aftermarket Ruger 77/22 triggers are available off the shelf. Savhmr
That's great, many thanks ZG47.

welshwarrior
Bit light for a hunting trigger IMHO.
wymberley
Bit light for a hunting trigger IMHO. +1 That's bordering on 2 stage trigger setting.
zipdog
I put a basix one in my Ruger 77/17, don't know if it would alway fit the 77/22, but iv been really impressed with it.
Savhmr
Bit light for a hunting trigger IMHO. Possibly but I already shoot with a pretty light pull weight on my 17HMR. 2.5-3lbs trigger pull would be more ideal though
BRYAN3
You could just get a good gun/riflesmith to give it a "trigger job" It worked on mine.
Savhmr
Agreed Bryan, depending on cost. I'm an engineer so don't mind a bit of DIY for a drop in replacement.
Jonno243
I got Mark at Dickson & McNaughton to fettle mine. It was a pig to shoot previously, with the trigger breaking at an extraordinarily high pressure. Following a quick trigger job it shoots a dream, and the price paid was significantly less than a replacement trigger...

Mine breaks in excess of 7lbs at the minute which I don't much like.
