shinybum
i am thinking of purchasing a .22 wmr, i read different opinions on accuracy so how do you find yours? what group sizes do you get at 100yds and what make of rifles do you use? is this a good move from 17hmr? kyska
Mine is as, bar a gnats testicle, as accurate as my HMR, not enough to worry about. Mine gets used more than my HMR.
Savhmr
As above. Depends on the rifle, but at 100 yds you should expect MOA or close to. Edited June 15, 2015 by Savhmr
Guest stevo
Also as above . Find the ammo that best suits your rifle and bingo . Much more choice that the hmr . I must have about eight diffent types from 30 grn right up to 50 grn . With regards accuracy i can get 5 shots under a five pence peice off a bi pod at 100 yrds IF I AM ON FORM . any other time same set up but use a twenty pence peice haha . Forgot to add its a CZ 455 varmint Edited June 15, 2015 by stevo

silverhawk
I had a cz455 wmr and at 100'yards I was getting all the holes touching eachother with hornady 30grain. The cci I was getting a shotgun pattern. The only reason I sold it is because i wanted a 17hornet and couldn't justify keeping both.

Dekers
So often ammo selection is very important, my last WMR favoured CCI 40g HP Maxi Mag-V, very accurate and excellent terminal results. My latest WMR favours Hornady 30g V-Max, also excellent terminal results and pretty much first choice ammo for it all round now. As it happens Hornady 30g V-Max WMR also flies very similar to Hornady 17g V-Max HMR. With regards accuracy, I have never got the WMR quite as accurate as HMR, but the difference isn't worth talking about when you consider it punches a bigger hole and delivers more energy. Salop Matt
What sort of money? I do like that .22lr anni Byron Pace had the other night with his brother on the shooting show ! Also, WMR users....... When taking a fox with WMR where are you administering the lead ? With my HMR I would only take head shots. Are heart and lung/bib shots on with fox and also given a clear shot at a fox at 100yards and just under would you head shoot or H&L/Bib shoot ?
