steveyg
Text all my farmers this morning letting them know I have a couple of weeks off work.had a reply back saying there were a few on the peas on a couple of fields I have never shot before. Arrived and no huge numbers but enough to warrant setting up. Father set up on the smaller field which meant he didn't have carry his kit to far and I set up with a gale blowing from behind. The pigeons did not want to commit to the pattern which gave the opportunity for some long range shots...😋 Couple of lads turned up at 3.30 and had a quick chat with my father, they were going to set up as they had 75 from this field last week...they moved on to another perm. The 75 last week explains why the pigeons were not commiting. We finished with 20 pigeons and a single crow. Steady afternoon which was well worth setting up for. Father still has a big grin on his face as he had a lovley double.. Happy days
aga man
Well deserved by the sounds of it. Doesn't need to be a big bag to be enjoyable.

ShropshireSam
Well done Steve. Birds not committing can create some good sport if getting in range and it's the sport that counts. I had my best double in a total bag of 3 birds from 4 shots in one hour.....but still worth setting up for.
