numpty
Quick scout round and found first OSR been cut today and few birds interested already. Also found nice line of birds dropping into the ripe wheat on a different patch, so where to go first!
WelshMike
Best of luck whichever one you decide to go to first.
sitsinhedges
Well I had 37 and 34 on standing wheat last week but only managed to pick 10 and 22 so unless you've bought yourself a dog I'd go with the rape. Losing birds in the crop is annoying, especially when you get a nice pair and lose both Farmer wanted them moved on so it had to be done. sitsinhedges
fox food then ? Precisely that. The farmer wants the foxes left for the hunt too
numpty
Hi Sitsinhedges, no dog yet but I am lucky in that there is a very wide strip of headland bordering the field and a meadow over the hedge, and if I choose my shots very carefully I can pick them up. Checked last night but wind wrong direction to achieve this so will wait until it turns. Anyone else finding plenty of horse fly's taking an interest in your exposed parts as three had me last night in the space of 20mins, forgot to take my Avon oh so soft!!
