JDog
Well. Nothing done again this weekend. Mate didn't turn up. That's 3 week on the trot now. So who exactly is rebuilding the Landrover, you or your mate? How I admire those of you who take on a mechanical challenge on a macro scale like this. My latest one is to put together a key fob for my car, the outer case on the old one having perished. Supposedly it is a simple matter involving one screw. You could have fooled me. viking
Mainly me but I need him to put handbrake back together so I can get seat base in and the floor. And with only largish panels to go back on its a bit tricky on yourself as holding in place and trying to bolt things is not easy. And one slip and its back to the paint shop. Saying that there are a few things I could of been doing but I to have been a bit slack.
viking
just spent an hour in the garage trying to work out how to put the front windows back in, i know the front bit is stuck in place, but does it have anything underneath it or not, does the channel for the sliding bit span the whole lengh of the door, and where do all these bits go?? did my head in so iv left it to do some research, any of you S3 drivers like to take some pictures of yours would be a great help theses are the bits iv got . . viking
i remember seeing this a few month ago in the magazine, in my eyes its a lot of money for an old land rover, yes its all original but to me if i was paying good money id like it to be like new, i know a lot of people look at it the other way, untouched is best, each to there own i guess, now, if only i could find one that was "like new" (nearly finished)
