Hunter 243
About 3 weeks ago me and my dad decided to start Pigeon and crow decoying. After going to the CLA game fair and getting 6 crow decoys, 12 Pigeon shells, 3 bouncers and a hide. Today we managed to get out for 2 hours on some freshly combined barley. At the end of the day we had 5 pigeons and 1 crow. I understand that this isn't a big bag but for my first day out I was chuffed. I think I could do with getting a flapper and a magnet to add some movement to my pattern. But can't wait to get out again Edited August 10, 2015 by Hunter

steve_b_wales
Well done. It's not the size of the bag, but the fact that you enjoyed being out. A flapper is brilliant for decoying Corvids, especially Jackdaw's.
Marksman1997
Depends on the area. Where i live you would scan the sky all around for a couple of minutes and be very lucky to see a group of 3 or 4 crows if your lucky maybe a mile away. Have decoyed on the barley fields in my area before for half a day and got 8 pigeons and 1 crow and i would consider that a great day at my house. Half an hour down the road at a friends dads decoying for a hour and a half bagged 56 crows. So really just depends on the location. Good shooting and keep at it!!
