I sit out a lot and the last 5 would be between 40 and 170 yards. We do have Wiley foxes so I tend not to call and shoot them with nv, calling either works or they depart at a great rate of knots so on ours I just shoot them. With a large scope and .243 not many get away..... Our poults mean I don't tend to want a gun that I have to restrict ranges and pick my shots it's not why I'm there

Very good.

I have developed a device that unlimits any limiting range my rifle may have. Legs, mine in fact. I carry the rifle into range ;-)

Fine if you can see over cover etc shooting from a decent high seat is very effective if you have a few about. I tend to be able to watch a fox for ages and some will walk up to the seat some won't. Those that don't it's good to be able to shoot but then some play at it and others don't. In my case it costs me money to put birds down so any foxes tend to get it.

You are to smart for your own good U. That is the reason you need skinny little rifles.

I have a couple of spots where the only way I can get a safe shot is off the top of the pickup which is an even better way of getting my varmint Howa 1500 into place and saves my skinny little legs.

Lying down now is a problem. Its not so much the getting back up yet but the swiveling on my belly :-/
