Sat Rat
Evening all, After some information I'm on the search for a new motor and the Isuzu has caught my eye as it appears to be the only truck that you have the option not to have in cased in chrome!, so the question i have is if any of you have gone for the the Huntsman option is the tray system removable if you need to use the whole depth of the truck bed?. kennett
I have been looking at them, but with the back full of the storage and dog crates you kind of lose the point of a pick up. Even if they are Removable, they don't look light! Really nice trucks though
point and shoot
I have the Isuzu Rodeo Denver in standard trim and from my experience in the field the chrome etc doesn't make any difference at all!! IMO its just an expensive gimmick, Les
Sat Rat
Cheers Fellas, I am off to have look Thursday at them, you are both right on both counts,I am personally not keen on the chrome work on any vehicle after speaking to both Mitsubishi and Toyota and being told the shiny stuff is standard but we can get it de-chromed by our paintshop!,as for the tray system yes it looks to take up a lot of the truck bed which as you say takes up a lot of space just thought if it was an easy in and out I could store it until I need to use it. kennett
Let me know how you get on, still like the look of them!
Sat Rat
Well after test driving both the Isuzu and Toyota Hilux, I have plumped for the Isuzu Yukon with vision pack,. Hilux although very nice felt very old and noisy to drive. The Isuzu on the other was certainly a better ride (more car like) and a better dash layout for me. The Huntsman pack option is nice and you do get a lot for the money, but the gun drawer is not an easy in and out as it is a flat pack build to be able to put into the truck bed,and I would realistically not use the drawers as much as I think I would!!. I went in mind to use the BASC discount, but have gone down the pcp route instead for 3 years. Due to collect mid October fingers cross before my 1st shoot day☺. One thing I would like to say is if you go onto the Isuzu website and ask for any information the head office is SUPER EFFICIENT......not quite stalker level(although polite). If you want a draw system http://www.cabtransitboxes.co.uk/make them, not cheap though, a full set out of draws, dog box & side cupboards is £2500. He will make you whatever you want though.
