ChrisAsh
Just wondered how good the makers guarantee's are in getting your gun back to you when something has gone wrong. Did you have a long wait before the gun was returned and was it fixed first time, Who are the good guys and who are bad at quickly fixing things I have never had to use a guarantee myself but it could influence my next purchase i guess if there are some very long delays or poor repairs Maybe maker, Fault and repair time could be posted
silver pigeon69
Dont know about the maker warranty, but i bought a new gun from John Forsey's that had a problem a few days later. i phoned them up and they told me to bring it back when possible and if they couldn't sort it there and then, they would replace it, there and then with a new one! I took it back, they fixed the problem in 10 minutes and gave me two boxes of cartridges for my trouble. There are about 3-4 gun shops closer to me than them but i know where i will be going if i buy a new gun. Cant ask for better service. a303
Browning UK, avoid like the plague. Bunch of bumbling, downright lieing *********. Will never ever purchasing a new Browning anything whilst Browning UK are the importers. GMK on the other hand, ordered a stock from them. It was delivered wrong as it had been mispicked in the warehouse. They couldn't have been more helpful sorting it out. I had the correct replacement stock in my hands the next day before they had even collected the wrong one. Thumbs up for GMK. Exudate
The choke in my Benelli M2 had been cut off-centre, and GMK replaced the barrel with no quibble. 16 days from dropping it off at my local gun shop to collecting it again. VicW
I have only had one occasion when I needed to use a warranty on a gun and that was with GMK. The cocking push rod on my auto broke so I took it into the dealer, Derek Lee's. He phoned GMK who said that they had no experience of that type of breakage and would like the broken part returned to them. They put a new one in the post that day for delivery the next day. I collected the repaired gun less than 24 hours after taking it in. Vic.

shootgun
Be carefully people your in danger of giving gmk and beretta a good name at this rate. True... Bought a brand new Silver Pigeon and after a while the ejectors were sticking. Took it back to the shop and they said is beiond repair and the shotgun will be replaced with a new one. Few days later i went to pick up my ''new'' SP, and i was in a state of shock when i took the gun out from the case... Loose action, dents on the forend and stock, rust under the barrels. No need to say i refused the gun and at that point the owner of the gun shop himself came and pretended to be very surprised i don't want it and asked me ''what's wrong with it? is a new gun.. '' Now i can't say if the GMK sent a new gun anf Chris Potter tried to stich me up with a old gun, or indeed the gun was sent by GMK. After few complaints and calls to GMK i got a new one and sold it straight away I spent over 6K in Chris Potter's shop and i was treated like rubbish, they wont see me again ... bostonmick
Well you do seem to have had a bad experience. I have myself dealt with this shop in the past and have to say I am surprised.I find it hard to believe that they did not examine the gun on arrival at the shop as they were alway meticulous it their detail.Maybe there could have been a packing error from gmk but again this I feel would have been picked up by the staff in the shop.My current dealer checks through his workshop every gun that comes in new or used. The shop you name has always had a very good reputation. Funny thing is, they did said the gun was checked by them upon arrival from GMK and it was described as ''new'', when they called to let me know the gun has arrived. The staff member i was dealing with was apologetic and helpful, is Chris Potter's atitude which pi$$ed me off, saying to his staff , if i don't like it, to give me my old gun back, all in front of me. All this after i had previously bought a Sako A7 rifle, one Beretta Silver Pigeon, one Beretta A400 Xplor and one A300 Outlander from them, all brand new...
