WelshMike
One of the farms I shoot on has a fair number of crows but I shot very regularly earlier in the year so decided to give them a break for a few months. I spoke to the farmer on Friday and he mentioned about there being a fair few crows about the yard. Sunday morning I was up at 5.30 (perfect timing for the clock to go back) and out and set up by the corner of the yard for 6.10 just as it was getting light. Not a lot about but those that were passing were decoying well. Under normal circumstances I would have called it a day at about 12 when only the odd 1 or 2 were passing but since I wanted to "show willing" and it was a nice day I carried on until 5.15 in the evening. Ended the day with 70 , mainly carrion crows with a few jackdaws. As Terry (Eccles) who shoots a lot of crows rightly says they are tough birds and take some stopping. Thanks as usual U. It was a little bit of a struggle when there werent many crows about. As usual the second I took the ear defenders off, had a drink or made a phone call one came flying by Well done Mike good bag mate. Not up to your usual standard As you said it would be great to meet up. The 2 farms where I shoot most of the crows are so hit and miss at the moment i dont want to disgrace myself by getting you down to shoot 5 crows. If I find a sensible number on my travels i ll give you a shout. I dont mind coming up to Mac either mate, I travel to some sites for work that are 5 hours + from where I live so an hour up to you is no problem. Take it easy mate. No Prob Mike got more ground than i can handle here. I'll sort out some shooting down here soon i hope for you mate. Plenty of pheasants etc they are everywhere round on my perms no body else shoots my ground. Iv'e not shot game or duck for years only shoot them now if iv'e got mates coming shooting. I'd rather shoot crows + fox.

LARRO
Smashing. You and Terry could be a cracking tag team on those crows. Darran.
WelshMike
Smashing. You and Terry could be a cracking tag team on those crows. Darran. Cheers mate. I think that would work well..I could scare them with the first shot and Terry could kill them for me This would only be acceptable if I could use Terrys cartridge to kill ratio. I actually regret getting a 3 shot pump action as it now allows me to miss the same crow three times.

WelshMike
Good job, I too love crow shooting. What gun and cartridge are you using? Cheers mate. I have also noticed that you have the same sort of crow addiction that many of us enjoy I use a Winchester SXP Black Shadow with an ATI tactical stock fitted (I am a bit special). Carts are Power Pigeon 29 6s (Fibre) An absolutely cracking day well done, ten out of ten for presentation, brilliant. Cheers PC. I always try to follow your standard when it comes to presentation, unfortunately I just seem to struggle getting anywhere near the numbers that you do
