Highlander
HELP please…been offered a phone/tariff upgrade and am baffled by all the phones and tariffs available. I currently use two phones both of which are old Nokia 5210, yeah yeah I know but they work for me, rubber cased, shock proof and waterproof??? I only use them for calls and texts and the inbuilt compass . They have cameras but why I don’t know ‘cause Nokia don’t make a connector to allow downloads to a PC . I don’t need a phone to do my washing, ironing or for sex just calls. If this type of phone was still available I’d go for another but nobody seems to do an ‘outdoor’ type of unit…any ideas? Maybe I should just stick with what I have?

P03
I use the Motorola PEBL. It's got a rubberised case so resists damage very well (I've had mine a year and there's not a mark on it........my phones are normally unrecognisable after 6 months ) It's also small and comfortable in your pocket. I only us it for texts andcalls but it has got a camera and you can (allegedly) download the photo's via Bluetooth. Overall I'd say that it's a good 'outdoor' phone. snyper
Sony Ericsson K800 is the way to go !
Axe
The Sony Ericson K800i is by far one of the best phones on the market at the moment. I got one of these when they first came out and have since replaced all but one mobile in our company with them. For me the clicnher was the talk time and stand by time, which is far greater than any other camera phone I have found.
pavman
I currently use two phones both of which are old Nokia 5210, …any ideas? yeah, you need to answer them when folk ring you, that would be a good start!
JohnGalway
They have cameras but why I don’t know ‘cause Nokia don’t make a connector to allow downloads to a PC I take all of my photos with a Nokia and you can indeed get a USB connector to download pics from your phone to the computer Sorry I can't help with tariffs, they give me a headache and I always come out worse off than I started out somehow As for an outdoor phone, my girlfriends dad has a Nokia also, it's rubber coated like you've described, I'll try to find out the model later on today
naddan28
My girlfriend went through 3 K800's! However, I think personally the problem was related to vodafone's firmware. My mate's k800 (3 not vodafone) aint skipped a beat yet! Nothing better than 2 player golf via bluetooth in a boring lecture
SNAKEBITE
The best tariff for me is pay as you go! £10 every 3 months or so. I use the phone at work for all "buisness calls" and idle chit chat, when I get home I don't have enough time to do what I want so I hate spending it talking on the phone, not being rude, I just want to get on with things. I have one Have look on play.com selling at £134 pay as you go. Jonno

Comes bundled with software and usb cable for transfering to PC. 2GB memory card bundled with the Music Edition which I got. Amazing Phone!! Teal
I've got the nokia 6230 (i think they still do the updated 6230i - which might be good as you can get it on a clearance/cheap contract). Solid, rugged reliable it's not flash and just does the job. Had it two years, since then I've taken out two new contracts and sold the new phones on ebay.
