ordnance
Our system of policing works, and should we have an attack it will be re assessed. Time will tell, lets hope you are right. You may have a problem with terrorist activity all over Ni, so your police are all armed, but the uk does not have the same problem. PS Northern Ireland is part of the UK. McSpredder
Mrs McSpredder noticed this on the front page of the Daily Telegraph. "Britain's response to terror attacks was called into question last night after uninformed officers were left to deal with a suspected Islamist fanatic who tried to murder Tube passengers in retaliation for air strikes in Syria." I hope "uninformed officers" was just a typo. It's repeated on a website: http://home.bt.com/news/uk-news/what-the-papers-say-december-4-11364027324846
shaun4860
Not every Taser deployment is successful. For it to be effective both probes need to hit, though not necessarily pierce the skin. If one probe misses the Taser won't work, hence a further deployment from either the original officer having carried out an operational reload with another cartridge or a second Taser officer discharging his Taser Just out of interest, how long does it take to reload a Taser on the job? stumfelter
Just out of interest, how long does it take to reload a Taser on the job? Reload a taser while on the job? Wife wouldn't like that!
ozzy518
It takes about 3 to 4 seconds. You pull the spent cartridge off of the front, throw it , then take the spare from the bottom of the pistol grip and fit it to the front firing position. It gets really interesting if you don't turn off the power before removing the first cartridge. Most Taser users have zapped themselves
Monkey Nuts
Would you fancy your chances up against a couple of terrorists tooled up with Assault weapons, bomb vests with no fear of death when all you have is a 9mm pistol? I don't. Much rather have any type of firearm to defend myself with rather than a tazer/baton etc. Even if the terrorist had automatic assault rifles.
