MG6065
Merry Christmas all , hope you're enjoying the festivities! Quick question, been offered a secondhand mossberg 500 hushpower 20g. It's in great nick and supposedly not fired many rounds. What sort of price would you say it's worth in your experience? Seeing they are between 500-600 new what would you guys say it's worth paying if I can get it for? Cheers All the best Marcus
Cranfield
They do seem to hold their price well, new they are around £650, secondhand ones are usually around £500, although there is a used "excellent condition" one on Gun Watch at the moment for £430. MG6065
£250 seem good? Seems too good to me to turn it down?

sitsinhedges
I'll take it at that if you wont
MG6065
That's predominantly what I'll be using it for in and around the pens. Lots of moving squirrels and pigeons/crows that can't be shot with airgun or rimfire and keeper doesn't want any loud shotguns going off. Hopefully this will be ideal. Also for lamping on the quad. Also at such a low price i reckon if I keep it in good nick I won't lose any money on it. Looking forward to picking it up, hopefully it is as clean and tidy as described and in the pictures. theshootist
That is a great find. The 20b offers much better performance than the .410 while being lighter than the 12. Edited December 26, 2015 by theshootist
MG6065
Picked it up, it's like brand new. Dunno how many rounds it fired but it's like new, no marks and very clean, can't wait to get out and use it. I got a couple of boxes of carts with it too but they are standard ones not subsonic/hushpower ones. Apart from the noise how do the subsonic carts compare to normal ones? Am i correct in thinking they are slower? Or isn't it noticeable in real life? Also what sort of money do you think the guns worth? daveboy
Are the carts fibre wads.? I was told not to use plastic as it blocks the moderator holes. As for what it's worth the single shots seem to do about £250 and the over and unders £450 (if you can find one)
