You will get a load of tick boxes, unselect Enable 'Email Notification' by default. Click Ammend my email settings. There, you probably got one notifying you of this post. Finally, I think this might have been apparent had you read perhaps one or two of these "advertising emails". Dph, do you get these as emails in your inbox, or are they just links to PW alerting you that you have a new message and they appear in your PW inbox? If they were topic notification emails from PigeonWatch, they would not all be trying to sell you something. Do what njc110381 suggests and see if that changes anything. However, it sounds as though you are just receiving standard email Spam. which doesn't come from Pigeon Watch. As we don't publish your email address, it can't even be lifted from the site. dph Posted April 22, 2007 Author Report Share Posted April 22, 2007 thanks so far chaps, my email notification was unselected, i am under 55, i can set a vidio recorder, i cannot read an email as i have deleted them all but i usually get about 20 a day, so i will read a couple and let you know how i get on.........ps. i also have a jack russel terrier he is a useless ratter but i will live with it. If you subscribe to a section (under my controls, as well as other places) you get an email for every single post in that section. Can't think of anything else it could be.
