Perhaps you should have a try at dealing with these people .

Harnser

i have worked and interacted with a wide cross section of people in the UK and overseas i find the only common denominator is they are people, to select a group and identify them by their religion, ethnicity or gender says a lot more about that person than those they choose to discriminate

Are you talking about Jeremy Corbyn?

If so, I agree wholeheartedly. :good:

i think the description fits your good self rather well, how is old Nigel doing still smarting from recent humiliations :lol:

I've worked with ex and current gang members in Croydon as part of my role as surveyor. It's a mind set totally alien to almost any white / middle class person and one I struggled to get my head round for a long time. The "face" they show to other guys their age is different to one the show black guys their age and different again to the one they present to older people. I had a knife held to me by a guy who honestly thought that was the way to get what he wanted at that moment in his life ( he didn't ).

My take is a distinct lack of fathers being around has a huge impact - many men having "baby mothers " dotted around etc. That's not racist at all. I engaged with an ex gang member we housed who said only two members of the DSN gang in croydon even knew who their fathers were. Sometimes the truth is buried if it's unpalatable

I presume you were born and bred in area with a high black population and spent a good part of your youth hanging out with them.

Why would you assume that?

I've worked all over the world and with many people from different countries and I know from experience that you cannot judge a person by the colour if their skin, its simply not possible. Cultural and micro-cultural backgrounds are much more influential on a persons outlook and behaviour and those backgrounds are formed by history, circumstance and creed and not pigmentation. It's lazy thinking and gives an easy solution to a complex problem.

That scenario plays itself out all over. It's not race specific, but it is pretty typical behaviour in some socially excluded inner city areas. Sometimes it's gangs. Sometimes it socialisation into an altogether more violent movement, where the rule of law has no respect. I am thinking close to home.

I agree Dr D which is why I said it wasn't and isn't a racist comment. I work in impoverished areas where the vast majority are white and whilst the gang ethos is far smaller the crime rates are reflective. I've helped ex gang members from the black community leave gangs and white lads from their equivalent move on from drugs and petty crime.

Respect needs to be taught. too many times the parents of stabbed children trot out " I had no idea, he was a good lad ".

Funniest moment was when a gang member showed me a gun and I said I've got way bigger at home mate. Yes I did report him.

I would suggest Mr Letwin and his sort have been responsible for a greater catalog of harm against the people of this country than any gang black or white

Ohhhhh. Controversial. He did advocate piloting the poll tax in Scotland. That must be what they teach them to use the colonies for in Eton.
