kennett
Evening all, heading up to this area in March and just wondered if anybody had any recommendations for clays? Would prefer a proper ground with high tower etc, rather than the activity centre sort of places I keep finding!
fielddweller
The best place by far on the East coast,no high tower but the lie of the land is better than any tower. http://www.cdsgltd.co.uk/the-shooting-ground Fielddweller

V8 90
Beverly clay target centre is about 30 mins from Bridlington, they have a "very" high tower along with various others

moondoggy
I used to shoot both Beverley Clay Target Centre (East Yorkshire Gun Club in those days) and Humberside Shooting Ground. Both were very good. EYGC is where quite a few Internationals used to train. HSG is quite a bit closer to Bridlington Not sure about now, but in those days, EYCG rarely allowed the sporting layout to be used.

I guess that would've been in Billy Walker's days, there were only two disciplines in his eyes Olympic Trap and Skeet. Nowadays the sporting layout is used more often, the tower is back in use and they also run Sportrap.

100milesaway
Cottondale is defo nearest to Bridlington, they had a good small compact layout as well as the sporting last time I went. Very pretty little valley as well .. from Auntie.
