Dunkield
Wasn't there a discussion about how slack guns laws are in the States the other day? It went something like 'it isn't that easy to get guns it is just a myth' Well have look at this nut: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynCsFZ3AS3E
mr smith
We are talking about renting guns to use on the dons own range, not to wander off and rob some drug store. There are plenty of gun shops over there that do this and it's damn good fun. IMHO I believe Stu was referring to the irresponsible attitude of our cousins to firearms in general. A point made perfectly clear by Don. As tragic as the resent shootings in the USA are, how surprised are we when every red neck and smack head has the right to bear arms, and oh how the innocent suffer! But as they are so dam stupid you can bet your last $ it will happen again and again, Can you believe just how thick some cultures can be, ye gods man it fair makes me weep
Dunkield
I was in California last week and didn't see any guns in Walmart. A bit dissapointed by this, I asked they guy why that was and he said it is 'because this is a tourist State, go to texas if you want to see guns in supermarkets' Oh well got some cheap Shoot n see's anyway My collegue in Texas carries a concealed handgun (legally) at all times, so the wild west is still alive in some parts of the States. Incidently Californian's are kicking back against the 8mpg moster trucks people drive, and other environmental issues as well so they seem more European in their attitudes than some of the red neck states. mr smith
I think California is one of the few states with a real downer on guns.
NorfolkBoy
I think California is one of the few states with a real downer on guns. Ironic isn't it that California has incredibly restrictive gun laws - sanctioned by a Governor - who gained fame and fortune by portraying violent gun-toting charachters...... One of the guys from the club works for an American company and often has to pop over there, and it tee's him off no end that there based in California and can't get the real shooting experience he'd like. Not sure - if you ask for Canadian bacon it's a bit better but strangely circular - don't even get me started on sausages....
