throdgrain
I've just bought a B525, the first over/under I've had in over 10 years. I actually reallty like it, so it's all good. Only thing is, when I pull the trigger for the first shot, the trigger doesn't return to it's original position, it's a little bit "back". The second barrel fires fine, but it feels odd after my pumps and semi-autos that don't do this. Could any other owners tell me, is this normal? Do your guns do this? I don't actually mind it, but I'd like to know.
billytheghillie
I just got a new one as well, and to be honest I didn't notice.

DanWalker
Mine doesn't feel like that. There's no noticeable diffeŕence in feel between on e shot and the next
throdgrain
It seems to be improving, I wonder if it was just the first shots. I'll keep an eye on it though, thanks folks.

Gunman
Try a couple of drops of light oil in the back of the trigger where the plunger enters .
B25Modelman
It might pay to drop the action from the stock just to check there is no foreign object floating about.
throdgrain
The second trigger is cocked by recoil is it? Maybe it was out of my shoulder a bit. I've put 225 cartridges through it now, and it seems to be ok. Can't shoot again until Sunday though! :(
billytheghillie
yes cocked by recoil.
billytheghillie
if dry firing, pull trigger, click, then slap butt pad with palm of your hand and you should hear it click, then pull trigger again.

HDAV
Also try swapping the barrel sector round shoot the other barrel first.....
B25Modelman
yes cocked by recoil. are you sure on this. B25's are not.
PhilR
are you sure on this. B25's are not. My 1970 B25 A1 has an inertia block trigger system, not mechanical, which surprised me. I was told by my gunsmith that Browning in Liege was having money problems around this time and built some guns down to a price to save money. Who knows 46 years later! Both firing mechanisms on my A1's (1974 and 1978) can be fired without hitting the end of the stock. Are you saying you must do this to fire the second barrel. The B525 mechanism is certainly different to B25 B25, A1 1974 Edited February 23, 2016 by B25Modelman

I'm familiar with both the Browning inertia and mechanical triggers as my B2 trap gun had the latter.
billytheghillie
my 525 game 28in barrel that I bought in January, 2015 stamped on it defiantly cocks when I slap the butt pad, just tried it.
BerettaSV10
You don't need to slap the butt pad to cock the second barrel, just put safety on change the barrel selector to other barrel, then safety off and pull the trigger. I have not noticed if my 525 trigger is slightly back after the first barrel is fired.
