eddoakley
Bought this today as part of a job lot. "The original super goose 10" It's in good condition. Anyone tell me about them? Edd
Underdog
No sorry but I always wondered if they would make a good fox gun. How heavy is it?

panoma1
Single barrel, bolt action, 3 shot (I think?) bottom loading magazine, not highly rated, were available in 12 and 10 gauge, don't think they are available new now? Worth about £100 Need the mag welded in place to be legal on SGC in UK!
kent
Reputed to handle recoil poorly no other direct knowledge wouldn't be my choice of goose gun
eddoakley
Cheers guys. Never had one. Ud it's heavy! I wouldn't fancy carrying it much! Just arranged to have mag welded and reproofed to sgc so will give it a go before I put it up for sale. Edd
Bazooka Joe
Reputed to handle recoil poorly no other direct knowledge wouldn't be my choice of goose gun Had one years ago, 12g, cannot remember any issue with recoil, 36" barrel full choke, didn't get on with it & sold it on. One problem that springs to mind was you had to make sure the second cartridge was further forward in the magazine than the bottom one, if not the second cartridge tended to flip up & made the second shot awkward. TBH I don't think I got a third shot off. Edited February 24, 2016 by Bazooka Joe
Lord Geordie
I found mine extremely heavy, and wouldn't fit in my first cabinet. Never had an issue with recoil? Mine was 3 shot. I stripped it back and reblued it, done up the gun rather nicely! Then eventually sold it to a chap over the border, met him at the forth road bridge for the hand over. Think his name was scarecrow or something! It wasn't a bad gun at all. Think I got it for around £
TONY R
Had three over the years still have one, they are a crude basic tool to get a job done, and they do that job very well. I like the way they handle myself and they come up perfect and once you get used to them you can reach out and touch them nice with these things. Recoil is not at all bad in my opinion, and they will work on steel for ever not even a scratch in mine and its had little else through it in years. Set the Mec a bit loose so when it cams over it leaves that slight taper on the case mouth, load it carefully pulling back the first shel in the mag with the next case rim behind the rim of the botom case feed the chambered round carefully sliding it in slowly. Then when you fire pull back the bolt w2ith a firm possitive stroke dont stop or hesitate then pick up the second round with a firm smooth stroke keeping pressure on all the time dont dither about, because if you do you will be buckling your case mouth. Its not that tought to fathom just a little attention to detail and they work quite well. But if you are forever swaping ammo ducks to geese lets say its a faff and i only shoot it single shot then or just one in the mag.
Underdog
Good for bud. All rimmed cartridges are the same in magazines and your right about not pussy footing the action.
