njc110381
I went out shooting pigeon over rape with another PW chap last week. Got my first picture of me in the field (I don't take a camera with me) thanks to Mike. He invited me to his shoot for the day and although I didn't get that many compared to some of you guys, I went home very happy! Here's a pic of me and the birds (hopefully!) Another edit, maybe this will work Bonus! Cheers psittacosis B)

njc110381
Well thanks for all the help guys, that's another thing I don't have to curse technology for from now on! It's a small bag, but I was well happy with it. I'm awaiting comments, six of the birds were hit by me

Cranfield
It looks like a good shooting session to me. If you were carrying all your decoys, nets etc in that little haversack on your back, then you haven't got nearly enough stuff. You need more stuff, you should look like a pack mule staggering to and from the field.............just like I do.

You need more stuff, you should look like a pack mule staggering to and from the field.............just like I do. That's all my stuff pretty much. No net, just a gun, a seat and some deeks. I sat in the hedge and the flight line was running over my head. I was sitting low and using the rape as cover in front of me. I do need a net, but that's about it I think. You can easily over complicate these things with extra junk (or as some may say, essentials) in my opinion!

njc110381
I've fired loads of shells to get to this stage! Now I'm starting to get some birds I'm really happy. The whole point of getting a shotty was to improve on my air rifle bags because I could hit them flying as well as at roost. I was supposed to hit more! I never realised how hard it is to be accurate with a scatter gun, always thought it was easy due to the shot spread and power of the 12g
