Casey1875
I have seen a large black cat once on the outskirts of Edinburgh, I was on my way home at around 11pm riding my motorbike and it came across the road I front of me. Logically I'm not sure that it was actually a "big cat" as the area this happened is surrounded by main roads and not too far from a large industrial estate, so more than likely other people would have spotted it in the area. My friend however is a gamekeeper and I know that we seen one on his estate. It was in a tree when we were out lamping. He said that he had seen it on a few occasions before that. The next morning we checked the tree for any marks from climbing but never seen anything of note. I'm not going to say it couldn't have been a huge feral but it certainly didn't look like any of the others.

Houseplant
Anyone remember this: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/may/22/white-tiger-toy-alert-police-southampton "The tiger then rolled over in the down draught and it was at that point it became obvious it was a stuffed life-size toy." Wb123
I was sure i saw one whilst out with the dog one night in the southwest. Never saw anything again but my mother swears she saw one a few years back. Crossed the track 25m infront of us as we came round a corner. Twice as long as a lab, long swishy tail, my lab was terrified of whatever it was. Took a quick look at us as it passed before sneaking on through the next field.
