Zapp
BMARC stands for the "British Manufacturing and Research Company", which at the time of the war manufactured 20mm ammunition for the hispano suiza HS404 20mm cannon. Th hispano suiza was an aircraft-mounted weapon , and was used on aircraft ranging from the spitfire to the mosquito and several american aircraft aswell. Hope this helps ZB

stubby
talk about resurrecting an old post, but found this on friday whilst metal detecting in my woods, it's the head for that casing, thankfully the fuse on tip has gone,
old06
stubby that is very interesting, I've read were that was not uncommon find after WW II, the group I served with in the USAF EOD fell under brave souls they are.
Andy H
The fuze may have gone but if it's an HE round is the main charge still intact.
Mungler
Put it in the microwave or oven on high power and then go and do your weekly shopping. If your house is still there when you get back, then it has been defused.
