So made a lamb decoy never worked
Had a dead lamb decoy never worked
Sheeps wool with decoys bit better
So I had a few crows and pigeons but nothing special
Best day was 10 crows 6 pigeons
I put out near a sheep feeder and there was a bucket that I turned on its side and a couple pigeons decoys feeding at bucket with crows next to sheep feeder

Are there lots of crows about where you have tried all of your various decoying tricks?

 

Dont bother with Owl or fox decoys, they dont work either

Are you aloud to do that my mate said it might be illegal, classed as baiting if you put grain in the bucket yourself? Not sure never tried it myself

OP never mentioned bait, just a overturned bucket, leave it at that I reckon.

I think I've mentioned it on another thread, but I've had a quite a few come in to the following :

 

Get a sheep's fleece, lie it on the ground with a few lengths of red ribbon strewn around/over it. Add a couple of crow / magpie decoys, and get out of sight.

hello, out with the rifle last night 22 L/R shot a big crow in the sheep/lamb field but before i could pick it up and dispose of other crows were flying in to eat it !!!!!!!

before that i tried my home made crow deeks on a set aside field got in the hide with shotgun and carts and waited and waited and waited, them crows are canny creatures

To true! On the river bank carrion crows allow you to get withing 20 yards or less of them, same when out walking, especially the coastal paths. Try and get within shotgun range when you are armed and dangerous. Not so easy.
