Lloyd90
Alright lads, Been looking at a springer air rifle but due to distances of onesi might go and have a browse at the local gunshops Monday What's the average price of the following guns AA pro sport, AA Tx200hc and the HW97k ? Think one local to me has the Ps for £470 or £530 in the walnut ,the TX for £385/445 and the HW97K for £360. With prices of some second hand plus travelling a long way, RFD transfer fees etc plus the risk or no guarantee you ain't buying a dud I'm considering buying new. Just can't decide which bloody one I would like lol! I'm hoping they have em all in stock to feel but I doubt it
figgy
The best out of the ones you list is the Pro Sport out of the box then a Sandwell tuned HW97 for a bit more money. But if you want the very best get a pro sport and get it tuned, no better springer can be had. I like the look of the pro sport as the cocking lever is the fore end rather that looking like double barreled gun. Look for the best price new online as rfd fees should be cheap enough to still make a good saving. Edited June 5, 2016 by figgy
bruno22rf
My local dealer is a member of some sort of dealership agreement where he can sell guns from any other dealer in the scheme. The way it works is simple....decide what you want and what flavour you want it in (Prosport would be my choice)......find one for sale in the UK at a dealer then ask your local dealer if he can get the gun delivered to him.....if the gun is good and you are happy with the advertised price then you buy the gun from your local chappy, he, in turn, makes a few quid via what he pays for the gun and what you pay for it (my dealer reckons to make about £30 - not much but more than he would if you had bought the gun from elsewhere). If you don't like/want the gun then there is no charge....it simply gets posted back. One other thing worth remembering is the distance selling regs....if you order a gun without seeing it (pay with a credit card for even more security) then don't like it for any reason whatsoever then you can simply return it....you are in a much better position than if you go and view the gun. secretagentmole
Welsh Willy has some damned good prices on some very good guns. Could I tempt you into a Diana 430 under £280, that is cheaper than the firms that sell in Europe and deliver to the UK! https://woodfield-gcp.co.uk/?product=diana-air-rifles His prices on the good old 97 are not bad either! Never heard of Diana air guns mate. the one you mentioned is unfortunately out of stock :( ,his HW97s seem to be similar price to my local place so I might just go down tomorrow to see if they have one I can hold etc. Will have a good think before parting with my hard earned! You have to order them I know! But the price is very good. Diana are one of the oldest names in air rifle manufacture. They are German and high quality. Most have the T06 trigger which is an allegedly decent 2 stage unit. The prices will is charging are under what they are charging for them in Germany! So that is not bad. Have a look, Will is a great bloke.
figgy
If your going for a HW97 get a Sandwell tuned one, it's worth the extra money over a standard gun.

manthing
You could always order from across the channel and save around 1/3Rd on new prices. You just have to specify UK spec. Delivered to your door, if your interested I can post some links.
