the last engineer
thanks guys, my mother and son had a goo flight in on friday, a little tired but happy none the less, good feed on the evening and lots ofcatching up done over a few cold ones. great time saturday, had the Edmonton Oilmans clay shoot, 31 squads of 5, 25 stations, 8 birds per, 200 targets total, my friend (and boss) Wayne and I generaly put in a few squads from Apollo machine, as well as promoting the shoot to other vendors in the buisness, something like 40 plus companies in the oil and gas industry sponcer the shoot, its a bi annual event that attracts a great showing, the weather was superb as was the company, targets, and food after the event, my squad as i said consisted of Wayne and I, along with one machinist from the floor, an ex cop who now works as a materials purchaser and my son Kyle, shoot started at arouns 10am - through to 2-30pm, refreshments arive on golf carts driven by local kids, tempreture reached 24c by mid day and stayed there for the duration, not a cloud in the sky all day, our squad placed 9 overall, with the cop shooting a measley 67 birds, his excuse " thay wernt shooting back - so they posed no threat" plonker Greg from the machine shop 125, well done, 4th time out, my son 2nd time with a shotgun (1st time shot 25 targets at a local farm shoot) 95 birds, very respectable with jet lag and a lot of ribbing going on, Wayne shot well with a 176, and myself a 186 for high gun , another fantastic day out, looking forward to the next time. sunday was mothers day here, so spent the day spoiling the old girl rotten, out for brunch along with Dianes mother, pampered the girls well enough they were asleep at 2pm, out to the golf cource for a round, down to the local, watch the hockey great weekend done with. lots more to do and a month to do it in.
