welshwarrior
I've a very nice Brady cartridge magazine however it's a little orangey brown for my tastes and I'd like to darken it down a little. Any of the leather workers offer a good solution to either age it darker or dye it.
Yellow Bear
It depends on the type of leather, If it is oak tanned it is fairly simple, If it is chrome tanned you have a problem. If the non finished side is greyish in colour it is almost definitely chrome tan and does not take dye at all, it just sits on the surface. If the back is white or white-ish it may be oak tan (like saddlery) if so It will take dye or "coloured aging polish" A quick look on interweb indicates that it is probably bridle(oak tan) leather. If so change is possible I use these people for products (probably because they are local ) http://www.theidentitystore.co.uk/
Glenlivet
Back in my horsey days leather soap and Neatsfoot oil would naturally darken and protect leather. A few applications of dubbin will have the same effect.

saddler
Fiebings brand dyes....have several colours in daily use. They are available in hobby size bottles, mine are around a litre each. Or add hide food....NOT neatsfoot

fitz
Most veg tanned leathers will fade in direct sunlight, so if you want to age it you can leave it outside for a bit! However, that won't do you much good if the leather is chrome tanned, as mentioned above its a lot more robust and the finish won't alter much. Be careful attempting colouring the leather yourself. Try a small area in a discreet area first to see if you like the result.
welshwarrior
Cheers guy I put a little shoe polish on that has dulled it down a little but order the dye saddler recommended so will hopefully have a nicer dark brown soon. Or a *** as a spare!!!!
