ShootingEgg Posted July 6, 2016 Report Share Posted July 6, 2016 (edited) After talking about where to put this years pen for about 6 months now, for a small shoot, purely to see if it is viable to make more of it and grow into a days shoot. Tonight myself and a mate finally got round to getting the panels up and going for it. We got into the wood we want to use. Saw some fresh roe tracks (I had to then get him out of stalk mode), we then set about the location and size. Found the location and thought big is best. So not going to crazy we made full use of the space and put up a 20ft by 40ft pen.. Not huge compared to some but big enough to hold all our birds and means only one pen to swear at whilst putting it up wuth horse fly brambles and stingers at the ready to get us if we dropped our guard... So after 3 hours and a fish n chip run the pen was up, stakes for hanging feeders in and a sheet of galvenised put up for shelter. We also had a quad driver.... And only looking at the birds being in pen with roof for around a month then the netting is coming off so the bords can do as they please.
