30-6
I tried both on in a game fair last year, I would go for the Ram. The Montana felt uncomfortable and bulcky to me.

Which was quieter if you don't mind me asking, or were they noisy not quiet at all? I stalk foxes at times so I need to be hush hush
sean c
im intrested to know the answer to john's question as well. 30-6 just out of intrest did you have any thoughts on which on would be the warmest.i was thinking of the montana because of the removable fleece which may reduce its bulkyness, any thoughts on this? 30-6
To be honest I can't remember how they were, but the Ram was definetely more comfortable to me. I might be wrong, but I fancy someone on here complaining of the Montana about water getting in the pockets.
pob
hi guys i would like your opinion on which of the above the jackets i should buy as these are the ones ive narrowed my choices down to. thanks sean I have a montana, which I rate. Very quiet and I like the peach/microsuede finish (sorry, that's just the way it is ). I had a similar dilemma, but what sold me was the 3 drawstrings; just something I got used to using on DPM jackets. I was lucky to find a decider or I might still be mulling it over. It was a bit bulky when new, but it has lost some loft after being chucked in the car a few times. The fleece is a pain to put back in. If you are yomping about, you probably won't want the fleece so it's not that bulky, but generally warm enough. It's called a 5 in 1 which usually means bad at 5 jobs, but so far not in my experience. Why not ask the dealer what he sells most of? Deako
We have dozens of each on the racks...but our personal choice is Montana (plain green) for driven shooting, and Ram (camo) for pigeons, ducks, geese, stalking and everything else. lurcherboy
I bought Fisters jacket last year for my old man but he didn't like it so I ended up wearing it. I think it's a Montana and it's reversible and it is without doubt the second best jacket I have ever owned. It gets abused daily, washed infrequently, its warm in the cold, and cool enough when it's warm. The under arm zips are usefull for cooling down. I have only put one hole in it and that was when I had to run from..................never mind, all the zips, flaps etc work. I honestly can't fault it. sean c
I finaly decided on the deerhunter montana jacket in realtree apg. The feature was the removable fleece which for only a extra £5 was cheaper than buying a fleece seperatly.
