colin lad
have any of you used n120 for reloading the .222, my normal load is h322 but was told it's becoming harder to get hold of and was sold the n120, if you have used it how did you get on with it?? thanks colin
Craig83
No but I was using Ramshot Tac or X-Terminator for my .222 when I had one. Really loved the load and dead easy to get hold of...and cheap

freddyspringer
I have had my .222 for a year now and have just started reloading myself using h4198 but originally i had a guy reload for me at 40p a round.he used n120 and 50gr. Sierra blitz kings, not sure powder amounts but they were very accurate.5 shots at 100yds were the size of a 20p piece.the only reason I started reloading myself was I got the chance of some 2nd hand kit.after about 5 different loads now getting somewhere close to what the original reloads gave me.the best factory rounds I have used have been hornady superformance in 50gns.i have found that the ogive length makes such a difference.the .222 is my first centre fire rifle and I chose it after a fair bit of research but I am not disappointed.accurate, nice to shoot, quiet with a mod and fun to reload.best shot so far is a pigeon on stubble at 275yds with my own load. Walker570
N120 doesn't rate highly in the manuals I have. BUT that doesn't mean to say it will not produce good groups and that is what your most interested in I suppose. N130 produces slightly better MZ but that doesn't always add up to tight groups. The proof of the pudding is in the eating I'm afraid. H335 also performs well with 55grbullets.
mick miller
Using 130 here with good results.
activeviii
I use to load N135 colin but it could have been better. just running the numbers and having a look. N120 will get you into the 3200 speeds with 40gn soft points and 2800 on the amax. it looks a good powder for the 50 grain. good looking powder. I use to use nothing but viht powders but after trying the swiss powder im sort of moving away from it.

Bewsher500
if I was using 35-40gr then it would be fine 45-60gr is my preference at the higher levels the case fill ratio could be less than ideal, I prefer full cases Its still listed throughout though http://www.vihtavuori.com/en/reloading-data/rifle-reloading/-222-remington.html

activeviii
Got to love the .222 one of the easiest calibre's to load for. I reckon you could even load it with blue dot and still get a group, not that that is recommended though children
