rimfire4969 Posted September 8, 2016 Report Share Posted September 8, 2016 Just had our renewal through for the wife's Audi insured last year for about £290 with the post office this year on their letter "Best renewal price is £396.99" gave them a call and they can now offer me £327.86. What really annoys me is how many best prices they have. I pointed this out to the lady on the phone, "how come the Post Office send me a letter saying the best price is then straight away you can give me a better price". I politely told her I will not be renewing as they are dealing in underhand tactics to over sell their product. Checking online I can get the same cover elsewhere for £242.00. I was with them last year but I didn't renew this year I took out a new policy, still with the post office because the price they offered me on compare the meercats was quite a chunk cheaper as a new customer than they could offer me to renew as an existing customer. I always cancel, even if they try to match or beat my best online quote, I tell them it's cos they tried to rip me off and now they have lost my custom.
