Adge Cutler
Rubbish! Check your facts before contradicting someone! Young people did not turn out to vote in high numbers, they are just being used, Incorrectly as it happens, by whinging remainers to try to justify their anti democratic attempts to overturn Brexit. If you bothered to read my post properly before running off at the mouth (keyboard!) you will observe I did not accuse any individual of being a traitor.....how did that thought enter your head? do you deliberately set out to misrepresent things as an excuse to be contrary and controversial? As those of us remember, you did under your previous nom de plume? Calm down, calm down you will burst something. I know what your post meant so did its recipient OTher wise why post with such strong innuendo. Now please remember that Fisherman Mike/ Adge Cutler don't do politics! Oh tightchoke ...your like a broken record. Mungler
I thought that OPEC cutting production was the primary cause of the price increase but a falling pound against the dollar is the icing on that kick in the nuts. The whole thing about Brexit that concerns me is the lack of a plan. If we had a government that was bright and up for it and with a plan, I'd feel happier. We need to cut corporation tax to keep all the large multinationals here and we need the French to vote in a facist government (I think they've just had enough) or Greece / Italy etc to meltdown. However, I know the government don't know what they're doing because we're about to be persona non grata in Europe (and so should look to trade with the rest of the wise world) and yet the government make a Horlicks of the nuclear power station project with the Chinese. Now we all know that project is wrong for all manner of reasons but poking the Chinese and causing them a loss of face is not the start to a new international trade plan I was hoping for. I agree, brexit or not I don't think we will be any further forward in 10 years time. The worrying thing is from a Political perspective is there seems to be no credible opposition at the moment and there doesn't look like there will be for some time. Kalahari
Whatever else has happened to prices, diesel always climbs more at the start of the winter because of demand for heating oil. David.
SURIN
The same whinging, idle young people who couldn't be bothered to get out of their pit to vote you mean! That democracy for you! Suck it up and get over it! The remainers trying to overturn the democratic vote for the UK to exit the EU are more responsible for the current financial turbulence than Brexit!..............anyone who claims to be British who works to undermine the democratic will of the people of the UK, is no better than a traitor! +
MrM
The remainers trying to overturn the democratic vote for the UK to exit the EU are more responsible for the current financial turbulence than Brexit Probably very true, as mentioned on the news today some of the larger (and smaller) banks have stated that they are looking at their exits from the UK, and they all pushed for remaining. Yes, that's how OPEC controls the oil price indirectly - however the problem is that Russia refuses to cut production so its keeping the price of oil down. The current increases are due to the pound/dollar rate.
