fortune
yep I've got a 6ec that I bought in 1973 for £130. It has shot well and been trouble free. the finish is as good and probably better than my AyA 25 and it has an articulating front trigger that the AyA doesn',although the wood on the AyA has better character. ( the front trigger pushes forward so as not to get the fingers battered by the front trigger on recoil) This was a close one. I tripped over going up a bank and stuffed the muzzle in the dirt. the bore was completely plugged and I broke off one of those long dry stalks of cow parsley to rod the barrel out. It worked a trick and the spaniel got to be out shooting instead of going home to get a rod. You dont very often find sticks or sapling branches long and straight enough to rod a barrel. fortune
Cracking gun mate I done the same tripped and dug barrels in the ground And these are only 26" barrels. I am not exactly a shorty so how many people with 30's have it happen. I suppose the answer is not to trip over or have outriggers. I had mine opened up to imp cyl and half Edited October 28, 2016 by fortune

fortune
I had a look at the ones on guntrader and I think the thing that lets them down is the quality of the wood. The wood on mine is ok but the ones on guntrader have very plain wood akin to floor board plank material.

The wood on mine is ok but the ones on guntrader have very plain wood akin to floor board plank material. They tended to use quite a thick coat of varnish on the wood which hid any natural beauty. I refinished one for a friend a few years ago and was amazed what i uncovered when I stripped off the finish.
