jtaylor
I've been shooting clays for around a year now and decided to try the real thing, I joined a syndicate, brought all the gear and managed to get out the other sunday. While I was messing around making a brew a pigeon snuck into my pattern.... I waited for him to leave and had a pop, a small puff of feathers but he carried on flying? I noticed he had flew to a nearby tree a remembered reading about how they often do this to die. At the end of the day I'd had a few more shots but no luck but decided to go check the tree and was impressed! A great day out and tasted delicious later on!can't wait to get back out again
ditchman
the rot has set in if you shoot in the same place regular...and wound the odd bird they tend to fly to the same tree to fall out and die....i always call them "hostpital" trees... old'un
If the next time you go out and you are having a bit of a quiet spell, get your sarnie's and drink out and they will appear in your decoy pattern as if by magic.
