subsonicnat
You have wired directly to battery,,very bad move.. Are the Spots going through a Relay,They should be.??. Power only to reverseing wire ONLY,The other to a good Earth..CLEAN.. The spots should be wired to relay as stated,,BIG WIRES,,They draw a lot of currant.. Sort it before set the car on Fire.. Twistedsanity
Could it be something to do with the spotlights interfering with the cameras IR as they are pointing alongside it and not illuminating it? Have you tried using the spots and camera in daylight to see if you get the flickering?
Chris Bb
I do hope your "reversing spotlights" either cannot be used when not in reverse gear or have a very large warning light on the dashboard. I wouldn't want to be behind you on the road if they were left switched on.
longspoon
subsonicnat's advice is sound, never directly to the battery, always via a relay !

Brodie
Relay is good idea to take load off switch but a fuse in the circuit will minimise fire risk.
snow white
How the hell do you know what size wire i have used and there is a big red light on the switch ho i forgot there is a fuse in spotlights and a fuse in camera the only thing i have not done is put a relay in as i cant see what that is going to do only find me more work. mrwabbits
Hi, as mentioned above by someone , the relay takes the `load' (high amperage current) from the switch contacts , to prevent shorting and melting the switch plastics / wiring that encompass the very small . When you flick the switch, you get a sudden current load from the vehicle electrics as the switch contacts connect. . # When you flick the switch on to allow current to pass ,--- imagine it as flicking your left ball with your thumb - it`s gonna hurt - -- now think of the relay as a cushion between your thumb and said left ball - it takes the pressure away and acts as a protector.
