TIGHTCHOKE
I received notification of my impending SGC renewal just before Christmas having Emailed them to ask how early they wanted the forms to be submitted. I spoke with one of the Administration Staff yesterday and they are still stating that 6 weeks is sufficient and that they are proud to be one of the few teams in the country that are managing to keep renewal times reasonable. My completed forms and payment will go in the post today. I hope to report back that they are continuing to offer a good service.

TIGHTCHOKE
I received a phonecall whilst in Stamford this morning from my new FEO. I took the car to a car park, sent him a text that I was not driving and awaited his call. 10 minutes later after answering his questions I was promised my newly renewed SGC in 10 to 12 days. My current SGC expires in late March so I am very happy with the good way in which the Cambridgeshire Police Firearms Licencing Team get things done.
