HDAV
Anyone else with sse for phone and broadband? I convinced my parents to change from the BT service that had been on for years to SSE, all seemed to go well new router was delivered and then connected, all good then a few issues and now a letter to say SSE cannot provide the broadband and they are switched back to BT at more money for broadband than they were paying for broadband and phone What can I do feel Really guilty for forcing them to change now can they reject the SSE contract? Bobba
From what you describe I suspect somewhere there may be grounds against SSE for breach of contract on the grounds of "performance" I.e they failed to perform that part of the contract they agreed to deliver. The contract would be null and void from inception. But much depends on the broadband weasel words you signed up to. Give it a try but be prepared to push a peanut up the hill with your nose. A further thought, is there any time left in your cooling off period? If so then reject the bundle.
walshie
Doesn't make sense. We're with SSE and they use BT's infrastructure. Incidentally we only went with them because they promised faster broadband than BT but obviously we never got that. oldypigeonpopper
hello, i have just gone back with SSE after a break of 3 months off line, so far so good, cheapest monthly £19.50 month? i do not have a home phone but could not find a provider that you pay for just the connection. seems strange that sse can change the line back to bt, are sse legal to do when you have a contract? big bad lindz
If it is a cost issue for changing then fair enough. We don't have fibre yet in this part of the highlands and we have BT as our provider for both phone and broadband and the hassle we are having. As Open reach maintain the network no matter who our provider is, we would still have a problem We are currently have a complaint registered with BT and are waiting for them to respond. shaun4860
I'm a new SSE customer, Phone package and line rental £21 per month........oh and FREE Fibre optic broadband (unlimited, current speeds over 45 whatever they are called) Happy bunny at the moment, a few teething problems at first due to BT but given 2 months free as compensation I would recommend them

walshie
SSE have English speaking call centres based in the UK. Getting them to answer the phone in less than 20 minutes is another matter...
