David BASC
Dear All, On another thread a few weeks ago I mentioned that my renewal was in with Cheshire, and it was going to be interesting especially as I have a medical condition... not one on the declarable list, but never the less I wondered if I would get caught in the 'GP trap' as it were. Well licence runs out mid April so I sent my paperwork off in mid Jan, cheque cashed a few weeks later, I heard nothing until about a week ago when my referee said he had received an email from the licensing team checking out the reference. License landed on my doormat yesterday, 10 days before the old one runs out. All I can say is well done Cheshire, license renewed in time, with no fuss. Hendrix's rifle
Happy days, they seem to be good at the minute. 1 for 1 variation took a couple of weeks or so and that was rimfire to centrefire. Putting in for a deer calibre before long so we will see glad to see yours went ok 🖒

drut
"I heard nothing until about a week ago when my referee said he had received an email from the licensing team checking out the reference." Peculiar how areas vary: I stood as referee recently for a long time friend's FAC renewal & Northumbria never contacted me by any means. Not that that surprises me as they seem to know where to focus their attentions and probably already knew of our friendship.
