Tford
Hi all, Are there any techies out there that can answer this one.... I want to build a really simple cheap range camera for zeroing at 100m (200 would be good but I'll accept 100m)... So far I'm looking at a cheap usb webcam and plugging into my andriod tablet using one if the free/cheap usb camera apps. The issue is how can I, without tons of kit, extend this to 100m.... A 100m usb cable? A usb to cat 5 extender (and use cheap cat 5 cable) although these appear pricey? Or is there another simple very cheap option? It's got to run on battery, and like I say not involve loads of kit or faffing? Thoughts appreciated. Trevor

Kalahari
Put a camera on a decent spotting scope? David.
Tford
Thanks... I wanted something easy for two people to easily glance at, cheaper than a sporting scope, and without the need to carry a spotting scope. Wireless sounds great... but how seems to be the question?!? gpreen
Copper has a max run of about 100m per run you could put a router as a boaster 1/2 way to get you the 200m or you could buy a 3g/4g enabled camera or router and dial in as and when you wish tomsee the target Edited April 16, 2017 by gpreen
Flyboy1950
If you have phone signal, maybe you could set up a Skype connection, or something similar, using 2 cheap Pay as you go phones. I am not a techie but always being sent live videos of the kids. Range would be no object as I get them from the Southern hemisphere!
