malmick
Here you go, this should sort out any misconceptions By the way the real 4x4 is not the one you see first
gustaff
very impressive but not standard axle travel and diff lockers involved but a 60grand range rover or disco wouldnt get through gate to get there

four-wheel-drive
For the money that it costs I think this is about as good as it gets but then I would say that as I am a big jeep fan

four-wheel-drive
They are utter pants Ok why would you say that have you ever had one or is it the usual uninformed rubbish that we tend to get on here.

Thought I was just unlucky with the first but 2nd went exactly same way. Transmission faults (there were other less expensive issues too). Never again. Had many lannys, yes they have there issues but I've never had anything as frustrating or expensive to repair as the jeep
four-wheel-drive
Had 2. Thought I was just unlucky with the first but 2nd went exactly same way. Transmission faults (there were other less expensive issues too). Never again. Had many lannys, yes they have there issues but I've never had anything as frustrating or expensive to repair as the jeep I had a 4ltr XJ for 10 years the only bad problem I had in that time was the transfer case playing up in the last couple of years that I had it and it was a cheap simple fix cost me £90 for a second hand TC and about £60 to have it fitted what bugged me was finding a garage that could diagnose what the problem. I tried three places with no luck in the end I found a little one man 4x4 garage and he spotted it in five mins apart from that my problems was down to geting parts that fitted as it was a late 2000/1 when they changed lots of things and the LPG did play me up and took a while to get sorted but that was nothing to do with Jeep. I must admit that I did now of two people who had axle problems with there grand cherokees I think a lot of the problem was down to the full time four wheel drive a simple fix just change the transfer case to one that gives you the option to drive just the rear wheels when on the road like most 4x4s do . figgy
I think if you need that much off-road capability the only 4x4 you need is a horse and your own two feet.

You are missing the hole point in it going over country like that is a challenge and fun its like saying shooting at clay pigeons is daft all you end up with is some broken pottery you are meant to kill stuff like birds and rabbit with a shotgun not just enjoy yourself.
