Hur5ty
Hi In the last 2 weeks or so Pigeons seem to be feeding later and later and not showing much of a pattern during the day. Has anyone else experienced this?
motty
Pigeons in my area are feeding until dusk on some crops. They are also very active during the day.
anser2
Twice recently I have checked on some pea fields in the late after noon and found a flock of about 40 birds feeding on the crop. Both times I returned the next morning and stayed until mid afternoon and never saw a bird. Going to have to try an evening ssession and see what happens. JDog
For the last ten days I have watched a pea field. I have never seen a bird on it until 3:30.
Me matt
I had birds decoying well on peas last Sunday, started at 8am finished at 3pm. Ironically it was busier up to 1pm, took a look over there 8am Saturday to get an idea of where I wanted to be on Sunday, there were about 50 down and feeding, crops ripped to shreds. kyska
We often do better in the afternoon, early evening.
Wilts#Dave
The day before good Friday another shooter had beaten Dad to a field of peas he'd been watching and I couldn't resist taking a look on my way back from work at about 4.30pm......they were getting a lot of action and after going over for a chat I joined him in the hide and we shot nearly 50 between 5 and 7 o clock. Not had them come that late at this time of year before!
