Vince Green
I really don't think you could draw a line between them to say this one is better. Its down to your preference, style etc. both will shoot better than you can and both have legendary reliability + build quality
shooterman49
Can't comment on the cz as haven't used one but have a 6.5 howa I use for stalking. Very accurate even using cheap ppu rounds, reliable and easy to clean and maintain. Also have a 6.5 Tikka which gets left in the cabinet when I go stalking as the howa is more than capable in the field.

alendil
Good to know. there is Howa 1500 in black synthetic stock 6.5x55 very close to me for 540 gbp. dont know how much are CZ at the moment. What sort of glass do you recommend on that. it will be used for long range stuff and some stalking.
Vince Green
The Howa comes with a Nikko Sterling scope already on it I thought Edited May 21, 2017 by Vince Green
alendil
Hi at the moment price does play big-ish part and on top of it after gun is set up it will be out only 1-2 times per month. and there is no scope in the set.

zipdog
Sauer 100 is well worth a look
steve d
If both are good, accurate rifles, buy the cheapest and spend the money on decent glass. The rifle will shoot straight whether its night or day, the glass will enable you to see where its going in low light.
team tractor
I just bought a howa and spent £450 on glass then. Roll on gun snobbery My howa .223 has never missed a fox/munty ( I've jinxed myself I know) and if I do miss I know it'll be my fault . hambone
I use a CZ, it does all I could want. Try and pick up (or use) both and see which one you prefer.
