Gunman
This reminds me of what was attributed to as Rugers Defense . " These are 3" American guns for 3" American cartridges . If you going to use that European **** then you expect to get problems " . Been a long standing fact that some guns dont like some cartridges . Be it case length or brass length , its something you just have to live with . Edited July 6, 2017 by Gunman

Wingman
Quentyn, did you buy the gun new? I would be taking it back to shop and asking for it to be replaced or repaired by a smith... All I can say is that although its old my 600AT is basically the same gun as yours. It cycles everything I put into it and have tried everything from Rios, Gamebore, Lyalvale, Eleys the list goes on I am not loyal to any one brand of carts. The only time is fails is with 65mm carts and even then it feeds ok most of the time if I rack the action really hard. So to me this just doesnt sound right mate... quentyn
Quentyn, did you buy the gun new? Mossberg's quality control leaves a little to be desired
saddler
yes will be tomorrow, as a redux I swapped the barrel with another identical gun today and suddenly mine cycled like silk summary - its the chamber thats wrong on mine... Mossberg's quality control leaves a little to be desired Nah - Mossberg QC leaves a LOT to be desired - but good to hear that you may have sorted out the cause of the issue & have a solution forthcoming (assuming that the replacement gun is not from the same batch as the first one = made the same day on the same machinery @ the same calibration settings)
quentyn
as a redux to this, the gun is now back from the gunsmith and has had the chamber re bored ( and has been reproofed) and now.... is perfect took it clay shooting ( and yes every 3rd person asked me if it was for post offices very droll) and managed 20/25 so the pump isnt affecting my scores as much as I thought it would so the moral of this story, if your pump action mossberg etc jams it isnt the cartridge it is the gun and if you get it fixed your smile factor will increase dramatically Q Edited July 31, 2017 by quentyn
Wingman
Great news glad you've got it all sorted out.
quentyn
Great news glad you've got it all sorted out. thanks ! there is something about a pump action that brings smiles that an O/U doesn't - then again I love my Berettas
saddler
so the moral of this story, if your pump action mossberg etc jams it isnt the cartridge it is the gun Not quite....I'd say possibly 80%-90% of the time it could be the cartridge
quentyn
Not quite....I'd say possibly 80%-90% of the time it could be the cartridge OK to clarify if you have cartridges getting stuck in the chamber its probably not the cartridge but the chamber
Ultrastu
I was shooting on friday and the black gold carts that have always cycled perfectly .started to get stuck in the barrel and wouldnt extract . The nsi carts i also use were still fine .I noticed that with the barrel out of the action a bg.cart was tighter to drop into the breach .the nsi fell in easy . So i gave the barrel especially at the breach a danm good scrubbing . The bg . Now fell in easily . Problem solved .
