Had a brilliant day at Bispham Hall Scout Estate at Billinge with Peter Marshall and the BASC Coaching line bringing the clay shooting experience to over 100 Scouts, many of them girls. Its about 40 years since I last visited Bispham Hall when the Parr Scout Group planted many trees down one side of a small valley and back up the other side again. It was good to see how the site had developed over the decades and see some of the excellent equipment and facilities that are now available to the Scouts of the 21st. Century.

nice one john,,,you dont half get your nose everywere, great stuff keep them kids learning our skills.

When I was an apprentice I spent a month with the Blacksmith. An experience that I will never forget for several reasons; but one of them was that several irons in the fire is usually a productive move.

As a Boy Scout for many years I spent a lot of time at Bispham Hall. Due to work and shooting ground commitments I've been unable to assist with any of the BASC shooting lines; but when Bispham Hall came up I made the decision to close the garage for a day to allow young webber to run the gun shop to allow me to visit Bispham Hall for the first time since 1973
