lancer425
Just take it to an RFD, or you are not too far from Lincolnshire They are having an Amnesty about now, it was on a Thread in the general shooting section a few weeks ago. Take a look it might still be in place. I am not 100% but dont think Police take guns in . Ring your Firearms DEPT West Yorkshire would it be for you i think. Personally I would NOT take it to an amnesty as it will only and up on TV with someone saying words to the effect of " and we have even had dangerous guns like this handed in so at least its another one off the streets ". Taking any gun to the Police has the probability of it being used as propaganda so PLEASE take it to your local RFD and give it to them where it will do some good instead. sportsbob
Giving it to an RFD for spares is just that, if there is a genuine reason for it not to go back into use then simply bend the barrel's but don't hand it in on an amnesty. clay shooter
Yes there is a genuine reason that I would want it destroyed and not into the public domain....I would be HORRIFIED if it was bought by another Shooter and caused accident/death..I would be horrified if I found out it was my unwanted u/o after all the care I have taken and lovingly cleaned and serviced it annualy..THANX for the info...Clay
fortune
What do you think is so drastically wrong with this gun that it can't be repaired or renovated?
Mr.C
Its his gun. If he wants it chopped for, any reason although peace of mind seems the reason, it's up to him. Take a lump hammer to the barrels and hacksaw through the action, then take it along to your rfd and ask him to chop it. No chance of anything other than the woodwork being reusable
