squirrelhall
I'm not sure. On the video he mentions the farmer "not putting the straw stopper on minimum" (or something like that). Which seems to indicate that he knows something about it. Not sure what a straw stopper is I know what a straw chopper is though. I drove combines for 30 years what have I missed

manthing
Coming from Sheffield for the first 40 year of my life I suppose I'm considered a townie, 😔 We now live in a cottage where the milking parlour is within spitting distance and we have only farms as neighbours. It's blummin marvellous 😁 Farms can be 24/7 factories depending on what's going on. You need to muck in and help, the other week I got in from work and helped get 30 odd calves back into their field. I will most likely be cutting the farmers grass tonight as the are a couple of peeps down for the milking so he won't have time to do it. Looking at the barley they will be harvesting that soon, then there's the maize and probably another silage cut. Sometimes glad iv got a normal job and can get away from it at teatime. Bloke in the video should be glad of the good bits of living in the countryside and get on with his life.
