wymberley
I've lost my favourite pigeon cartridge and am having trouble trying to find a replacement and it's getting expensive not to mention time consuming. I have had one suggestion which I will obtain and try. The clays are outside my comfort zone, so could anyone kindly suggest something in 7 or 7&1/2 at 28g which are renowned as throwing a tight pattern which I guess would be for Trap or DTL - but I really wouldn't know. (I use fixed choke.) I'm beginning to feel like Beau Brummell and, "These, Sir, our are failures", when looking at the pile of different boxes that is building up. TIGHTCHOKE
Some years ago when shooting competitively I used Hull Sovereign 28g 7 1/2s and was very happy with them. Now that I have to pay for shells I use Georges Proper Cartridges in 28g 7 1/2s and they have become a favourite that throw good tight consistent patterns. figgy
I got tight long range patterns with Eley VIP sporting fiber, wouldn't have been my first choice as a cart but they did work very well on long going away edge on clays. So worth a try along with the sovereigns.
