Beardedbushwhacker
Hi all! I'm just wondering what you all do with the spoils of your shoots? My freezer is about at bursting point with pigeon and rabbit, I palm a few off onto friends but really I think they're only in it for the novelty factor, I often have a lot left over and would like some suggestions on what I can do with them. Don't want to just dispose of them, this seems a bit wrong somehow! Any thoughts welcome!
marsh man
Try your local butchers , pubs that serve meals and restaurants if you have only got a reasonable amount , if your freezer hold around 200 then check out your local game dealer and ask if they buy frozen pigeons ect as some of them only want fresh . Good luck.

silver pigeon69
Try and hook up with the local OAP's clubs, they will normally take quite a few.
ditchman
put them into a large jam pan...boil them up...strip the meat off.............dog food....mix in with their mixer....they will go mad for it.. its what i used to do every 6 mths of so...i poured it off into aluminum trays about 2" deep...then into the freezer...just used to break chunks off in the morning and allow to defrost then add to their food.......... Continental Shooter
Game pies! September is the best part of the year when i get to clean the left overs and make a few (big, small, round, square, etc.) and freeze them. The wee man goes nuts for them which is a bonus since he struggle with any other meat Edited August 30, 2017 by Continental Shooter
getthegat
Pate, terrine, both can be frozen. Maybe even see if you're local butcher may turn them into sausages. Stroganoff with wild mushrooms. Bar b que. Your only problem I see is prep time, plucking and gutting that many birds
GingerCat
As ditchman if your really snowed in. I'd just save the cooking part and feed raw. The obedience I get from her dog with a bit of pigeon in my hand is something to be seen.
